Intellectual Property Policy

Our Commitment to Intellectual Property

Porter’s Management Group (PMG) champions creativity, innovation, and invention. This policy ensures that any intellectual property (IP) produced is utilized and developed for the mutual benefit of its creators, PMG, and our clients. It covers all PMG personnel and collaborators who use PMG resources (space, facilities, equipment, staff, or funds).

Core IP Principles

Ownership of IP

PMG asserts ownership of all IP developed by our personnel or collaborators using PMG resources. IP developed independently by personnel without PMG resources remains with the creator.

Materials developed for clients remain PMG's IP, but clients receive a complete, perpetual license to implement and use these materials internally.

Licensing and Use

PMG grants clients a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license for the use of materials developed by us. This license does not transfer ownership and strictly prohibits commercial exploitation, such as selling or adapting PMG materials for use by other businesses.

Confidentiality & Protection

Confidentiality Agreement

Users of PMG's platforms agree not to disclose or personally benefit from any Confidential Information learned. This obligation continues until the information becomes public through no action of your own. Confidential Information includes:

  • The existence, title, and description of any PMG project.
  • Information about actual or potential business, investment, or trading decisions of any PMG Client.
  • Any other confidential information of PMG or its Clients.
  • Any intellectual property, including trade secrets, know-how, or copyrighted information of PMG or its Clients.

Prohibition on Reverse Engineering

Clients and third parties are strictly prohibited from reverse engineering, reproducing, or otherwise attempting to uncover PMG's trade secrets. Violations will result in immediate license termination and may lead to legal action, with the violator bearing all associated legal costs.

Definitions & Governance

Conflict Resolution

Any questions or disagreements regarding this policy will be addressed by PMG's designated IP officer. The officer's determination is binding. All legal expenses incurred from disputes shall be paid by the party initiating the action. To contact the IP Officer, please email legal@portersmg.com.
